Dude you ain't lyin. I bought a cheap Black and Decker weedeater and leaf blower on Amazon 2 years ago, it's only 20v, and it cuts my half acre just fine and its zero maintenance and zero cost after the initial purchase. Fuck some yard work. I figured I'd give it a shot being they were only like $120. But yeah, I'm pretty happy. I have no reason to ever own another gas powered one. Lawnmower on the other hand, I'm all about haulin ass around the yard and making as much noise and pollution as possible. Haha

 

Rush Off Road Meat. Levi was as close to TN folk that we could get to show up. Was fun as fuck!!!!!! and people broke some trucks and some pride, but everyone drove home what they drove to the park.

Lightweight flywheel or nah when I do the clutch?

Weedeaters; one of my good friends has a legit lawncare business, and has for a good 10 years now. Will only ever buy Shindawa trimmers. Always a hit for him and other people I've talked to about trimmers.
Concerning Stihl as a brand, I have a curved trimmer (straight shaft TroyBilt is eating pull cord for unknown reasons) and it's served well for it's time so far. However, I know a fuck-ton of folks who hate the company because they're stuff can be really hit/miss for all the hype they have.

 

I have a stihl trimmer. Has worked flawlessly for a few years now. My only complaint is that the shield was too small and i was getting covered in clippings. I added a piece of polycarbonate over the existing shield to extend out further to solve that issue.

Well, and the gas tank is too small to go around 3 acres in one go with it.

My Ryobi chainsaw has been perfect for going on 8 years now so i have to assume their trimmers might be ok.

 

That sounds like a terrible idea to me for something you'd be driving off-road. It's great for spinning an engine up fast or rev matching for downshifts, but if think for slow, low rpm off-road driving you'd wasn't the extra mass. I could be completely off the mark though.

 

Leaning this way as well. Wasn't sure if I should spend $700 on clutch/flywheel upgrade, or just $350 on clutch.
Just wanted to consult with the one true Gid.
