    Need some feedback from Dakar owners....
    Have a modified Dakar leaf pack with the top OL leaf removed. I took the top OL leaf out to get less height, but retain the spring rate. I am now nose high due to adding a 1/2" top plate spacer in the front to account for the dreaded "taco lean".

    Do I:
    Add the OL back in to get the height back? What will this do to the feel? I don't mind if it stiffens up some.
    or
    Put in an AAL? More than likely won't get the height back but will it firm up the ride?

    Any other feedback would be greatly appreciated. :hattip:

    If you took your OL out for less height but you now need the height wouldn't you just put the OL back in?

    Taco lean is a difference in height driver to passenger side not front to back. Or did you only put the spacer on the driver's side?

    That is my plan, just seeing if an AAL will give a different/better quality ride.

    Right. Spacer is only in the driver side.

    I have the 90021 strut with 887s. After installing sso slimline bumper paired with smitty 10k winch i have sagged over an inch. If i get the 90000 strut with 886s and 1/4" spacer for both sides plus driver trim pack, will that be okay ?

    Sounds good since the trim packer isnt on the top like the spacers. I put a 1/4" on passanger and 1/2" on driver. Everything was slevel and good with 887

    They ride good if you have absolutely nothing up front. After installing sso slimline bumper, smitty x20 10k winch and trd pro skids everything comes up around 130 lbs. Going over speed bumps i feel like my struts bottom out.

    Okay in adding spacers to ome struts without having problems. Heard its not recommended?? But seems like a lot of people run spacers with them lol.

    There is a big difference in 1/4" top spacers for the OME lift and big ass 3" spacers that get the negative responses all the time.

    If I were you, I would upgrade the springs to 886s, use your 90021 (unless they're worn out), and pass on the spacers for now. If you "need" more lift after that you can always add the spacers later.

    I already got some 90000 coming in. Was told if i paired the 886 with the 90021 it would be a floaty ride with the weight up front.

    Meh. I've had both with my 886s. Very little difference. I actually prefer the softer ones.

    Well shocks are a consumable so you'll need them at some point if you don't use them from the get go.

    I used about 8 coats of vinyl spray on each rim, similar to plasti dip but it’s vinyl not plastic

    After installing my OME lift I've noticed that I occasionally get a clunking noise when turning left. Looking under the truck the only thing I can notice is that the sway-bar is awfully close to the coil-over. Would installing a sway-bar bracket remedy this?

    I just contacted ARB for the exact same reason. The rake is very noticeable.
