Like 3 for 25 isn’t too bad in my opinion. That’s just the very first price I found. They are reusable also. I have reused many of mine. Broad heads on the other hand... Not as durable.

Think about this... Just one of my arrows is $10-15. Just being able to find the arrow is worth the expense. The arrows aren’t always just laying there where the deer was shot. Many times they take off running with the arrow. As long as the arrow isn’t damaged bad you can reuse it also.

My personal experience. I have had them, and they do work when set up correctly. It does make the potential for finding them, a little bit better. But I have lost them fully lit and have had them inside of a deer. Were the deer broke the front of the arrow off and the nok still was inside the deer. Obviously it couldn’t be seen. I guess myself I just gave up on them.

The biggest benefit is seeing the shot placement in my opinion.

Some interesting and some scary stuff on this podcast about Chronic Wasting Disease. Has Bryan Richards the CWD project leader for the U.S. Geological Survey's National Wildlife Health Center.

Plus in low light conditions it’s hard to see the point of impact. Normally that’s when I have most of my encounters is super early or right before dark.

We have had issues with CWD for the last six years or so in PA. Every case in PA, EVERY CASE, has been tracked back to captive deer farms. Our problem is, captive deer farms aren't regulated by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, but by the Department of Agriculture. So the PGC implements stupid restrictions like disease management areas. So, if you kill a deer in one of these areas, you cannot transport it out whole. It must go to a butcher or taxidermist in the DMA, which is more than a major inconvenience. Plus the deer do not recognize the established DMA's. Additionally, since deer urine is thought to host or transport the CWD spores the use of deer urine based lures is banned in those areas. The irony, there are deer lure operations within in the DMA's that collect doe and buck urine for shipment to all over PA. The PGC claims they are helpless to stop it. It's estimated that deer hunting contributes $1.6B to PA's economy. I would suggest the PGC gets off its lazy ass and sue the Department of Agriculture to shut down the deer farms and possibly the urine based lure operations.

Right, they talk about deer farms too in the podcast in detail. I had no idea!

Just gotta make sure we solve this problem before it's too late. In Norway, they literally killed off their entire reindeer heard to do so. Pretty drastic, but I guess effective.

Illegal for us to use during hunting season...another of Idaho's stupid hunting laws.

So a device that would help aid in finding a downed animal is deemed illegal over not finding the animal? Lol:eek:

Isn't it great when people with no experience what so ever in something make laws that only effect people that do.

We can't even hunt turkey in my county right now. I literally have seen hundreds, they're everywhere, but the bean counters at the DNR know everything so I guess I'll have to hunt them somewhere else.

Sounds like the same conditions with another kind of chunk of metal in our society! (that were not allowed to talk about on here)

Are you kidding me? I thought VA was crazy as hell. But no lighted nocks??? What advantage are you gaining from lighted nocks?

AIn Idaho are you guys allowed to use natural deer scents or food attractants?

Honestly, why would being able to find your arrow be a terrible thing?
