Fartbook has given me the opportunity to own my house AND it paid for my wedding, and it has paid for a lot of my travels in the past 5 years.

I bought a condo on the other side of the Dumbarton Bridge opposite of FB for $205k in 2010 (Union City). I used an FHA loan and used the First Time Homebuyer Credit ($8000) for my 3.5% down payment. I only had ~$7500 to my name which paid for the closing costs. Shortly after, FB moved to Menlo Park. After 5 years I made $160k, sold it, and used the money for the downpayment and renovations on my current home, the "Mod Day" house, in Newark (also near Fartbook). My current home has increased in value by 65% in 3 years.

If you have any info you can share about it I have a friend that has been Tacoma shopping. Not sure if he’s looking for a built off road rig or just wants to start stock but I can send it to him.

Thanks. I recognize I'm super lucky and that this type of stuff hardly happens. But I like sharing it because it just shows that anything is possible.

 

DCLB weld on sliders free of charge today only. They are used and abused I recomend new legs as well.
These were one of the first sets of sliders I ever made nearly ten years ago and the welds look nasty IMO but they work.
Of they are not picked up today they go to the scrap guys.
