Locked in 5th? Does that mean we might see a version that lets us use s mode as a shifter rather than a gear limiter? That would make cruise control usable again for those of us in windy and hilly areas.

Someone answered this a few pages back. He uses some software to lock in the gears for testing. S mode is the same as now (limiter).

We can only hope this happens. If so, it will be a major savior!

I am getting 15 to 16 mpg, but I drive the shit out of it. It's so fun to drive now. OVtune was the one thing that brought all together for my truck. 40 to 55 mph is the sweet spot, it holds 4th gear. It's a pretty energetic experience driving to and from work. It drives like big car with a tight suspension.

Are you sure you didn't re installed the factory tune? I know these trucks seem to have unique personalities but that's a stretch. My truck immediately felt more powerful and transmission was much sharper and it seems to like it's relearning my driving style. Its starting to like a glove. Now it drives as good as it looks.

Do you have any other products installed like a shift sense or pedal commander. The difference between stock 04B03 and tuned 04B03 should be immediately noticeable

Got AFE Intake system with the air ram and cat back exhaust installed. Those two made a difference to how the truck drove though. Maf temps dropped by 25-25 degree over stock airbox

Are you selecting P5 and not P5 gearbox when you flash it? It will be night and day when it's flashed.

I'm curious if an ETA was given for the dongle crew to get to 1.05. Also, will there be an updated flash manager?

@OVTune do we know for certain that you can provide the 04B13 upgrade through your flash? or will the base need to be done through Techstream? do you know yet? i've wondered if there's more than just calibration going on and if it can be correctly uploaded through pcmflash.

EDIT: to be more specific.. i know the new calibration will of course be used. but is there anything else going on aside from the mapping? reason i ask is because previous OV flashes never changed the cal file. 04B10 got new mapping but stayed with the 04B10 problems and was stuck with those limitations until 'yota provided this upgrade. it's different from OV's files, so i'm wondering if there's something Techstream does here that pcmflash cannot?
