Mine works when/if it wants to. Doesn't matter if it is a saved contact for me or not. It might pick up the text, might not.

I fucking hate Entune and every asshole that's had anything to do with it. The $150 Kenwood I had in my wife's old Mustang worked better.

mine didn't work for the longest time, and finally started reading them to me recently... however, if the text you are receiving contains an emoji, it won't read it.. it will give you the notification like you are seeing but the read button will be greyed out

I had this same issue on my '17 TRD OR. I disconnected and reconnected the phone. Make sure you also reboot the head unit by pushing and holding the power button.

I'm considering making the switch from iPhone to Android. I use the SIRI option to play Apple Music a ton. Does Google Assistant work with Entune? Also will I finally be able to have my text messages read to me on my Android phone?

I had a Samsung S8 Edge and that would read my texts out loud to me. iPhone 6S and no such luck :notsure: I may be trying some of these suggestions. I don't think the Google assistant worked with the Entune system, but my memory could be wrong.

Wrong -I have an iPhone 7 and EVERY TIME I get a message, it pops up and I can press Read and it will vocally read it to me if I am moving, or display the text if I am still. Entune Audio Plus.

And I have my contacts and call history uploaded to Entune also - because every time it pairs, it notifies me that contacts and call history have been uploaded.

I’ve been having this problem for a long time as well with my iPhone 8. Only intermittently received messages via Entune and it would never read them to me. The only option I had was ignore. I finally deleted my phone from the vehicle, forgot the connection on phones Bluetooth, and started from scratch. This time I didn’t sync contacts, either when the car prompted or in the phone Bluetooth connection menu. Now text messages work fine and will read even after several restarts.
