I've seen a skinned one before. They look incredibly human like spread out on a skinning pole. Creepy AF.

    You first. :D

    Is that a euphamism?

Make it eat a lead supper. I wouldn’t worry about it.

If a bears trying to get into your RTT you made a mistake, it’s on you at that point.

    So the point is:

Do I get an RTT or trailer camper

I don't want to worry about a bear while I am asleep

But a RTT seems much cooler and better for overlanding.

You’re missing the message here. A bear can get into either. If you use your head you won’t have any troubles with either

    ...too much shit to list.
REI offers a bear essentials class. Take that first then decide how it impacts your camping decisions.

Get a ground tent so you’re not always camping in the parking lot while the hip people are camping down by the lake. 1/50th the cost / 1/100th the weight / 1/2 the hassle / 2x the fuel economy / 6x the opportunity for fun.

RTTs are dumb. Which is why there’s always 100 for sale on Craigslist

I know about bear safety... They tell hikers to protect themselves from startling bears by wearing bells.

How can you tell the difference between black bear and grizzly bear scat?
    .
    .
    .
    .

Black bear scat has seeds, bits of small bone and bits of fur in it, and grizzly bear scat has bells in it.

The guy is asking for advice on TW, he obviously isn't ready to sleep in a ground tent.

Neither has any advantage over the other in bear country if you do not practice common sense campsite management.

If the deciding factor is that you are overloading, go for the RTT.
