Calendar quarters. They payout the quarterly bonus on the 2nd full week of the month following the end of the quarter. So, we don't have effed up quarters, but we do have effed up things like that.

 

This morning has been nothing but thanks to two shitty factories I work with.

And I'm sure there is more to come as our CSRs start to get in, and check their emails and check on order statuses.

FML. I need a fucking drink, NOW.

 

But the 2nd quarter ended 6 weeks ago...
Q1: Jan-Feb-March
Q2: April-May-June
Q3: July-Aug-Sep
Q4: Oct-Nov-Dec

 

Aha, you've got anklebiters. Those are a full time job on their own...

 

My bad, meant to say the 2nd month following the end of the quarter. Q1 paid in May, Q2 paid in Aug, Q3 paid in Nov, Q4 paid in Feb.
IDK how/when they came up with it, but once you get the first bonus (after 6 months of employment), you get a bonus every 3 months.
We are a (large) private company so we play by our own rules in a lot of aspects

Wife is out looking at cars. So far she has only been to one place because they had some that she wanted to look at; Pilot, Highlander, Acadia and Traverse.

Says Traverse is her favorite so far. Highlander is disappointing because it has no trunk space. Pilot had very limited 3rd row leg space.

Says after seeing cars in person, she prefers two bucket seats in the 2nd row instead of a bench, because it would be a pain in the ass to get to the third row with two car seats in the 2nd row.

Going to be test driving the Acadia and Traverse.

I think the two Explorers she found might be out the window because they don't have bucket seats in the 2nd row.

 

What motors are in the GM ones?

 

Not sure. Let me text the Mrs, and I'll report back.

 

V6 3.6 on both it looks like.

Said she likes the way the Traverse drove, and liked it, real smooth. But not leather and no nav.

Best thing for you, in the long run, was to have her look at cars as a girl's day out. She'll pick what she likes without you having to wait for her to make up her mind...

 

That's what she's doing now. She's out with her friend from work (another kindergarten teacher). I'm at work, busting my ass and getting from all directions.

Haha, I kid. It seems like she has a list of items that she wants and that's getting more refined as she's seeing cars today, which is awesome.

I just browsed on the dealer's site that she's at now, and looks like they have a few Acadia's that seem nice and have what she wants. Around 33-34k miles on them though... 2015's and 2016's
