RTT’s make great 360 degree campground movie theater screens.... you can watch the shadows from the people inside on all 4 walls!!

(Be careful where you put your lamps inside them!)

To prevent bears coming into my RTT, I just hide a bacon strip in my partner's RTT

I just busted out laughing in the dealer’s lobby. I had to explain why to several folks who also cracked up. Well done @sdsurfer , well done.

You have to leave the bears a peace offering of honey and fish. Place it at the bast of your ladder along with a declaration of peace and immunity. The smellier the fish, the better. I recommend a can of surströmming.

Well what we do know is tigers love pepper but they hate cinnamon so I would have to assume there is a similar recipe for bears. Find that out and happily swipe your credit card for an RTT. If not, you are probably SOL...

black bears dont like humans and dogs (we are also predators) and will let you know or will stay clear. if you are in a bear rich area and dont know what you are doing, well then you deserve to be a snack.

in order to get harmed by animals that could hurt or kill you, you need to sneak up on them and that is hard to do.

brown/grizzly bears like to tell you to leave their areas and i suggest you listen when told or carry a very big rifle. brown/grizzly bears in areas frequently populated by people know where you keep your food, but maybe just dont camp in those areas, you built a capable truck for a reason, become apart of nature instead of camping among rv hookups at national parks.

i fear random meetings with mountain lions more than anything. i pack with bear bells more for the mountain lions than the bears.

In addition to the common sense advice about cleaning up food stuffs really well, etc., with the thought that most bears generally are more likely to avoid humans and are deterred by our scent I've always done stuff like cover any fragrant food stuffs or toothpaste/ hygiene materials bags, soap, etc, with dirty clothes overnight. Same if you have to leave food in a vehicle while your out, cover it in dirty laundry. If I'm in a particularly high bear activity area I may just pee a perimeter around the tent or truck, whatever I'm camping in. I don't know if this does actually work, but for me it hasn't yet Not worked...
