    Sadly, not much.
I have 16 stock wheels, otherwise I would jump on this! Thanks for considering the TW folks first...

I'll have a set of semi-corroded 17" TRD sport wheels available for free in a few weeks.

    They won't fit.

3rd gen besides are higher than the 2nd gen. I bought a set of 2nd gen bed bars once and they were about an inch or so short of reaching the rails. You can see that the metal piece going down the bedside would get in the way of the bedrails on a 2nd gen. You could DIY trim and drill, but that would be a PITA if you don't have all the proper tools.

The updated version fits. I bought a set off of @GSPRunner 3rd gen and put them on my 2nd gen. I believe the slots are longer than the pic above.

I think he’s going from a C load rated tire to an E with the skinnies so with the difference in size and a heavier tire there will be a noticeable difference

new to posting but stalking for a while... anyone notice increase in mpg with 89 and 92 octane? Actually getting better mpg with my 265/70/17 ko2s than with stock tires when I filled with premium or super. Never tried filling with other than regular with stocks though so I'm sure it would be a lot better but just wondering if it's a known thing or not. My 1st gen got worse mpg with higher octane gas.

I definitely noticed a MPG improvement between regular and plus in my truck, I haven't compared to premium to see if continues to get better though

I get 1-2 mpg better if I use premium, but the difference in price isn't enough to make up for the increased mileage.

Edit: If premium is no more than $.25 a gallon more than regular and I get at least 1.5mpg better with it, then the cost evens out for me.

About the same here, I'm just used to the abysmal mileage at this point. I must drive like an asshole, 14 is the best I can do with daily driving. Next set of tires will be 255/80 and the weight is just going to increase, might as well just get a supercharger and shoot for the lowest score possible

JDAM I believe and hope you are correct. I contacted CBI yesterday and they told me that the first generation overland bars for the Gen 3 trucks would not fit a Gen 2 but the started slotting the mounting holes longer during production so it would be unerversal between the two different mounting locations. I’m sure this was done so they could eliminate having two separate part numbers.

i recently did a road trip to oregon on c-rated toyo at2 265/75/16 and got 20.2mpg at averaging 65-70 the whole trip. canopy/sliders/skids. all on 92 octane. before i ran 87 and best was 18ish with 255/85 e-rated. not the greatest comparison because of the sizes and weight.

Anecdotally I went from BFG KM2s in 255/80/16 to nitto ridge grappler 285/70/17s. The weight and height difference was nominal. The KM2s are like .25" taller while the Ridge Grapplers were 2 pounds heavier. While they were roughly the same height and weight I noticed a small drop in my mpgs when going to a wider tire.

I'm averaging about 17.5 in city and 19-20 on the freeway depending on conditions.
