I moved to Washington about a decade ago and they had state controlled liquor at the time. I was so glad they left that model. It sucks plain and simple.

Liquor happened in WA 2012ish and the prices increased quite a bit. It was advertised as the state getting out of the liquor business dropping prices. People were quite surprised liquor prices went up quite a bit. Beer and wine had always been private prior to.

State run liquor stores had minimal theft due to the way they were set up in WA state prior to privatization. Small, zero, hiding places etc.. liquor anywhere and everywhere at accessable at all hours of the day, theft is a giant problem now. Retailers had to spend tens of thousands of dollars securing them. Even secured, theft is rampant. Prices have to be increased to compensate. Minor's have zero problem securing alcohol anymore.

I live in a very humid place and don’t have the sweaty ass problem. The first week or so I did then all of a sudden it went away. It was like the covers broke in.

The two things I really hate about living in Pennsylvania are the LCB and annual vehicle safety inspections.

I hate that I can't buy booze in a convenience store and I hate having to pay a mechanic to tell me that my truck is in perfect working order!

Never believed in monopolies, and the state should never have exclusive rights to any product directed for consumers.

The company I worked for at the time put bottle locks to deter theft. A count 6 months later had determined 30% of the locks disappeared. Meaning that many bottles had been stolen. Staggering. Confronting one theif resulted in a bottle smashed over the head of an employee at 2 am. The injury settlement payout was unbelievable.

5 years on mine and they still look brand new, worth every penny. I'd buy another set in a heartbeat. Everyone thinks they're factory, not seat covers. Never adjusted the fit once.

I've had mine on for about a year and I will never take them off, so comfy and look better than factory and yet don't look like aftermarket covers. Two thumbs up for sure..

On the Washington state, Idaho border you can drive into the Idaho state liquor store and count 6 Washington plates per 10 vehicles in the lot. Thats after privatization. It's all how it's taxed. The state controlling isn't as big of a factor as the local tax rates. All this said, I don't drink alcohol at all, lol. Just worked in the industry for years.

I think it's obnoxious that in Pennsylvania, state troopers would stake out liquor stores in New Jersey and Delaware, and pull over anybody with PA plates who drove back into PA. They would then give them a ticket for "bootlegging" and seize the booze...

I don't know if this is still in force, but there's a reason I refer to the LCB as the Liquor Communism Board!

Whether the hooch is stolen or legally purchased but legally obtained with a fake ID, there's a reason people under 21 in America are so eager to obtain alcoholic beverages...

"The Man" tells them they can't have it until they're 21, and when they do get in trouble for something as petty as simple as "minor in possession", and those tasked with enforcing the laws are often total douchebags!

I have lost count of the number of my friends who lost their driver's licenses for "underage drinking" or "minor in possession" when they were nowhere near a motor vehicle!

Come to Utah, my friend... One liquor store per town.

Low point beer in every gas station and grocery store though which is an upside... if you want watered down PBR
