Black bears will most leave once you scream at them, I was face to face to one as it tried to scratch through my tent. I just yelled at the bear and it moseyed on its way. Thanks to my stupid friend pouring the bacon grease in our campsite.

OTOH I would be scared shitless if it was a grizzly

Do you take your key fob with you when you sleep in your RTT. If so, turn it off! You will be in the Darwin awards if a bear (or person) does this while you’re up there!

Hold down lock button while clicking open twice- light will double flash twice and it turns off. To turn on, just click open. You should do that with your spare and if you are sleeping with the fob in or near your truck...

got any other tricks? I found work around to let truck warm up and walk away & leave it locked. Roll window down, reach in, lock button on door and then roll up window auto style. have to use physical key to get back in cause fob no worky after that.
Whats up with truck beeping while running if u walk away from it?

I used to feel semi safe in my ladder stand while hunting. Figured I'd have time cushion to bear spray or fire.... nope. Bear kind of leaped up the ladder in about .4 seconds.
Spray comes out and sits between my legs now if boo boo arrives.
