Planning a week in a state sucks. Looks like Central CO, down to Silverton and Mesa for a few days. What's some more stuff I can do near central/southwest CO. Wanting to check out the Alpine loop a day or 2 while I'm there.

Really Alpine Loop, Telluride, Silverton, Ouray and all the trails passes could take you a week alone.

Is that for work? 50mb seems kind of low. What service provider?

Anything I should see along the way from Colorado Springs towards there?

I've been told Crested Butte was gorgeous.

I spent 4 days there and did pretty much all the passes and the Alpine Loop. I pretty much did two passes every day with a little time leftover for a bite to eat and a beer in between trails. Unless you're planning on doing some hiking and stuff, the loop itself will take less than a day.

My write-up starts here in my build thread if you're interested and is spread across a few posts: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/littles-build-travel-and-b-s-thread.356319/page-18#post-18214387

As far as routes out there from the springs, you're probably stuck with 50 unless you want to drive way out of your way.

From the Springs I'd go 24>285>50>149. That will drop you right in to Lake City where you can go up either Cinnamon or Engineer. You could also just take 50 West out of the Springs all the way to 149 but I think the other way will have better scenery. Google puts both ways right about 4hr 25min

I really just want to see the most of Colorado while I can so I'd rather not just specifically stay on the loop but would like to visit a few towns along the way to Arizona

149 takes you South from Gunnison to Lake City or Creede. You can take either pass I mentioned in to Silverton, doing both is the "Alpine Loop". The trails converge at Animas Forks ghost town which is a cool rest stop to check out, a lot of buildings that are intact and walkable.

Thank you for all the info sir. Some good free camping with the RTT along the way? Looks like CO is full of public lands.

Camping I am unsure of, my buddies family has a cabin a little way up Cinnamon so I've never needed to camp.

I also suggest taking the out and back spur off Cinnamon to American Basin.

FYI, when I re-centered my bed, guesstimated the bolts to be torqued to 60 ft-lbs. Let me know if you find something different:
