I precooled mine. Still didn't yield any better results. The seal on top is nice and tight. The drain leaks. Unfortunately, we figured that out while it was in the back of my wifes Rav4, getting water all over the place, in our clothes and food bag. I'm totally done with that cooler.

 

I gave away a yeti before learning about the pre-chilling thing

I did get it free too, so no money lost at least.

Haha I ordered 9 tires not 9 sets - I’m not that crazy. Idea was a set for me, a spare, and a set to sell. Either way, I got a refund for all like everyone else like we all knew was going to happen

sorry for newb question, how do you "pre-chill" your cooler? fill it full of ice?

 

A block of ice works best (in my opinion) but a couple bags of ice do the same thing. Chill it for 24 hours before you need to use it.

 

It’s just to cool down the walls/insulation, because otherwise they will be working against the contents.

Put ice, leave it in for a while. Dump it and put fresh ice with the food/drinks.

 

Or if you have a large enough deep freeze, throw it in there a few days before the trip. If room is an issue, throw all your frozen food inside it while its in there.

I have a free impact wrench coming my way. UPS lost it mid-transit. Home Depot refunded it and let me buy another for 10% off. And then UPS found it.

 

Same happened with a ome carrier bearing drop kit recently that I had bought from Amazon. That spare is still sitting, in case someone wants it. $7.20 priority shipped.

Sometimes, sometimes not. People usually have to experiment with shims and carrier bearing drop to get it sorted.

Mine still has vibes, but I’m only lifted 1.25” in front and 0.75” in back, so mine are probably not even from that. I figured it was worth a shot, since it’s so easy to put in and take out.

 

I just get vibes around 65-70+ Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. I'm only maybe 2-2.5" of lift right now on my 5100s. I may take it in and have the mechanics tell me what they think before I just start throwing parts at it and see what sticks. Could be I didn't torque something down right during the install.

 

If it’s only at certain speed, your wheels probably need balancing
