Do you know what BHLM headlight mod is? I want to do headlights, fog lights, maybe a grill, and maybe rims. I think i am taking off my running boards--they are driving me crazy anyway.

X2 both of these pieces of advice. We can all talk you into shit you don’t need.

If you’re not taking it off road, no reason to do skids and sliders. If you don’t like your steps, swap them out for something that you like better. Just keep in mind if you do go off road, those factory steps are bolted to your body work.

I think a custom grill is a relatively inexpensive mod to throw into the mix as a nice visual mod.

Yes I’m familiar with a bhlm. I haven’t had the guts to do it yet. A color matched grill is nice.

Personally, i’d Loose the bull bar I don’t care for chrome with a light color and if you hit anything they don’t really offer any protection, this is just my taste and opinion which means nothing for your truck. Yes on removing the step bars. If you want a step a company called Tyger I think makes some that look like sliders, are tighter to the truck, and look beefy

I don’t have a link to the mod myself I’m sure some others like @ChadsPride do and will be happy to do so. It’s not overly complicated. You remove your headlights, bake them in the oven to loosen the seal around them, pull them apart, paint the inside whatever color you want typically blackthen reassemble. You don’t paint the reflectors in them unless your doing a retrofit to HID I believe.

Just plasti dip. On the other Tacoma I had I did the emblem, grill surround, and rear bumper. The plasti dip white is pretty much a direct match. The truck is applying 3 coats of the glossifier once you have it covered good. When it starts to get dingy rub it with a little cleaner wax, wipe it off, and then use some detail spray and it brings it rt back clean and white.

Beautiful truck--few questions--where did you get the tailgate lock? Did your truck come with the blinkers imbedded in the side mirrors? What rims? Do you have front and side pictures?

Some folks use cheap hose clamps (see mod section) or there is the heavy-duty one made by sabellco. Both can provide an extra level of security for your tailgate.

Ok, I looked at Sabellco--that isn't the lock I was really thinking about. It looks like @TegoTaco has an actual lock ON his tailgate near the opener. I have bought a Pop n Lock thing a few years ago and I couldn't get that thing to work right for the life of me. I actually returned it and they sent me another but that one wouldn't work right either.

How are those headlights and taillights treating you? Any issues with being too bright?

    thanks

Build quality is excellent. No issues so far. Money well spent.

Thanks for the reply---I have been looking at them--and also been noting what people have been saying about certain things with not buying cheap lights, etc.

I really love the look of them.

Lot of shit done today—took out the seats and console and shampooed everything. Also took off the bull bar and running boards.
