Guy on the facemachine said he met the guy the other day. Older couple who were on their way back from an Alaska trip, truck was well built with long travel and kings. :(

Me thinks driving to Alaska isn't such a great idea anymore.

First world problems... When Detroit's most fun rental vehicle is a Dodge Challenger placed in the "Adrenaline Collection." No gracias unless it's priced the same as an econobox.

Hertz nor enterprise offer dream/exotic rentals... :frusty:

I did find a website that rents high class shit, one of the selections is "cars, helicopters, boats" and says "if you're looking to spend under $750/day, this is not your website."

    *it's not my website

We couldn’t find a rental in Vegas for use during shot show one year so we ended up at a place like that and rented a couple of gwagen suvs. Accounting was pissed until we said the next cheapest option was a viper.

I rent from hertz often for work. While the don’t have “dream/exotic” cars, many locations certainly have cars more exciting than a challenger.

Nice, yeah Vegas type places have a ton of good rentals.

Enterprise didn't list an exotic rental location there on the website. Just got off the phone with hertz, and they said the best they do for Detroit are the luxury like infinity and Mercedes sedans and the challenger for adrenaline.

Only thing they have is a 17 Porsche 911 turbo for $1178/day before fees. Fees put it over $1600/day. Turo used to be good, but now the shareholders and people at the top seem to want more and more of a cut, so i just use regular rental places now since they are quite cheaper.

I've even wanted to use turo locally just for a fun weekend and the price doubled with fees so i rarely check anymore.

For example.. Range rover listed in Breck for $229/day ends up at $286/day. And you only see that price when you go into the checkout screen. There used to be a slight markup and fee, but the jump is usually 30% now which makes it more expensive than a regular rental place. And if the price difference is that much, you need to advertise the real price imo.
