I got the double cab for the kids. 1 teen and 1 tween. It's perfect for us.

The gf thought the access cab looked dinky like a ford ranger. Plus in canada you can't get a sport in a access cab.

I bought the DC because I can sleep in the cab when camping and be impervious to the weather. The second reason is kids!

In the end it is all about space, if I spent 30k on what I liked the best to look at I would have a tandem bike with a Miss December 2007 to get around. But sadly I need room for my girl friend, family, friends, dogs, and all of their collective stuff.

I, like some others here, was also dead set on the Access cab. What I wanted for years. But, I listened to enough people and the deal was right on a Double Cab. I haven't looked back and more than pleased with my purchase! Ill only buy DC's from now on!

yes, im single with no kids but its nice being able to load groceries, roll down all 4 windows or just tote friends around the city.

I liked the DC because I rode in the back of my friends 07 A/C and it was way too small for my liking. I LOVE the look and functionality of the DC and it just makes sense to get a 4 door. For me at least

Had an extended cab for 9 years..... no room in the back when 4 of us went hiking.. pretty much had to be under 5' 3" for it to even be somewhat comfortable back there..

Cuz I'm the guy that drives all his drunk friends around and it is more practical IMO. I have always liked the looks of the extended cab though.

IMHO! The double cab is the most symmetrical of all the Tacoma designs!

The fact that everyone has them tells the whole story! They look the best!:headbang::woot:

I first liked the look of the access cabs more but I knew I was going to have the truck till it quit on me so I thought ahead of time and went with the double cab for having possible kids. Now, I love the double cabs 100x more cause I think they look a lot better.:D

When I got the truck I had to think of where i'd be in the next 5 years while paying it off...first thing that came to mind was kids. Plus the extra room is always handy. I think they look the best too :)

Some of us have many family members that we want to carry in comfort and don't want/can't afford a second vehicle. We also like to keep some gear in the truck with us. Maybe we like the room better?

I'd rather function over look in this case

my kids are getting bigger...access cab wouldnt work.....even tho a/c looks better the dc grew on me, especially once you get them in the air a few inches and add bigger tires, they have a stockier stance......needless to say after a year I absolutely love my dc and know i made the right choice!!:)

DC look better. Easier to put stuff in the back seat like people. I never have to pull the seat forward. those are just a few reasons. Main reason though my other car is a corvette, it's nice to have the extra room :)
