Nah, just figured since I woke up I'd look and see what I missed. Wife is asleep on the other end of the couch from me. lol

 

Is it just me or does that seem kinda odd they are selling a truck with 26 miles on it as used? That means you're going to get a used car interest rate on a new truck.

I've packed 5 adults in my truck for a 9 hour trip and not heard any bitching in there a few times. I drive 36 miles to work one way all the time and I get around 16 mpg on mine with the mods.

 

I think it was 260 miles. I assumed it was used for test drives.

 

They have another one identical to it but it is silver, sales manager told me that they have it listed as used to get more hits on the website. It is 260 ish miles i think it says 267. My bank gives same interest rate to anything above 2016 right now

 

Either way, if you're looking at this truck as a long term investment, the 2017 is the way to go cost wise. Their demand is just going to keep increasing. Especially the off roads. The sensors in the new ones are becoming a pain.

 

Yeah, mine was a 2011 leftover I got at the end of Jan 2012. They had 2 left on the lot. Both white, one 4wd and one 2wd. Mine had 40 miles on when I got there. Bought it over the phone while I was heading to Arkansas on a duck hunting trip while driving a loaner Camry because they didn't get my truck finished before I had to leave on the trip from my local dealer. My local dealer wanted 32,5 for the same truck I bought for 28,4 from this dealer.

 

Aren't the 3rd gens slightly bigger on the inside than the 2nd gens?

 

I told him today I wanted it OTR for 35k but he is at 38k. Gonna go in tomorrow after a power nap.

Where you go in Ark? We go to Pocahontas area every year

 

Eh. Nothing noticable. Maybe the 3rd gen is a little less tall or the seat is higher. I'm 6'5" and I have limited real estate above me.


All in all I find it comfortable

We stay on a farm called The Elms Plantation in Altheimer and usually hunt the Bayou Meto WMA just southwest of Stuttgart. The owner Kim is awesome and a really sweet lady. Always been well taken care of there.

Looks awesome! Prices did not show up for me, but it looks expensive!

 

It's not bad when we split it among the 7-8 of us that go and we stay in the corporate lodge #1. 4 nights was around $300 a person and that included all our meals we cooked. I'm not sure what the lodge itself was because we've been going there a while and she works with us. I wasn't the one to book it so not sure exactly the price per night. That's how we usually book all our trips either hunting or fishing. Get the total and add in all our food for everyone then split the price among all of us.

Give me the details on this cook? I am slightly obsessed with smoking meat......

 

Pork shoulder. Probably 13lbs or so. Don't remember the time or temp on it .I normally run them really low. With my brisket I normally sear, S&P, go hot for the first couple hours on direct air (250+) and then back it down (~220) with a diffuser over the heat.

I believe this one was paprika and brown sugar and a water down honey spray on it. Glazes up well while still letting it sweat the fat.
