I did that in my old LGT and it sounded killer! I did the exhaust spacer to bring out that boxer rumble and I had an awesome daily driver!

    I'd love to hear it!

Exhaust spacer? Like shim some washers in between the muffler and the Y pipe? I wish I had a LGT. I have a 6th gen (2015+) so I get a NA 2.5i with a CVT. Makes a great daily driver though.

I may need to try that :anonymous: One time I was bored and straight up removed my muffler and took it for a test drive to see how it sounded. It was obnoxious and I loved it. When this muffler eventually rusts out (it's not far from it since it was previously in NY) I'll upgrade to an aftermarket one.

And yes it's stupid luxurious from what I'm used to. All leather, power everything, killer sound system and all 3 of my mirrors dim.

Possibly. I have to see if I feel like making the drive out there. Not really sure about things to do on my truck. I could haul the rear fiberglass up and we could get some more brain power working on it.

The UCA bolts on @Mr. Projekt's 2nd gen were seized up pretty good when him, @TacoCat, and I were swapping parts around. We were able to break them free and reused them.

I think they make a plastic/rubber interior for the early 2nd gen access cabs that replaces the carpet. Pretty sure I've read about it somewhere on TW.

Yeah. The FXT has the same FA20DIT as in the 15+ WRX, but I think it's detuned a little.

It's just a resonator/muffler. The Tacomas have one as well hidden up in the fender behind the wheel well liner. Mine is currently off the truck. It's fucking massive.

The sound system in the WRX is pretty horrible, but on the plus side, turbo noises. :D

I have the harmon kardon set up and I love it. Hands down the best stock system I've ever listened to! Though I might trade for turbo noises if I could :D

Maybe that's an I4 thing? I don't think I've heard of the V6's having anything like that. We just have a little ice cream scoop on the end of our intake tube.

Could be. This is the beast hiding behind the fender liner on the 2TR.

I pulled that out when I installed my front fiberglass. It's a straight shot into the airbox now, so water crossings are probably a bed idea. :sadviolin:

Any plans to diy snorkel? I was thinking of routing my intake into the cabin. A couple people have done it.

Yeah. There's a write up on here about someone that routed it into the cowl next to the AC fresh air vent. I was going to do that when I installed my fenders. However, the write up says they used 4" PVC when in reality they used 3" PVC. I bought 4" PVC, so I didn't do it when I put the fenders in. I have some thoughts on making it work with the 4", but I haven't had the fenders off to mess with it since I got the fitment halfway decent. The thought of running it put through the fender like @3pooches did with his crossed my mind. I'm just not sure how to go about figuring out where to cut and not fuck it all up. Also, how to attach to the a-pillar is a mystery.

The “different approach to a snorkel” is what got me curious to snorkel alternatives. I know a lot of people on here run it and are fine, but I just feel like I’m gonna get water over my hood sometime (even if it just splashed up real quick) and I’ll get water in my intake. That’s why I’m thinking of just routing it in the cabin. Really the only downside is noise.

Just ordered some SCS Ray 10s :bananadance::bananadance:

So that means I'll be selling my 2017 TRD Offroad wheels when they get here. I've got 5 total if anyone here is interested.

I drove a cvt in a rental once. It was a very weird feeling. I didn't like it. I guess its something you get used to.
The Harmon Kardon system in mine is actually pretty nice. I just had to adjust the EQ a bit as from the factory it was set to "suck". From the factory if I turned it up all I got was massive bass. I turned that back a bit and turned up the mid range. Sounds great now with the xm radio. That, and mp3s on a flash drive are pretty much all I listen to anymore.
If I had to choose between the whine of a supercharger and the whistle of the turbo...
    I'll take both, please.
Route it to the ac blower. COLD air intake :D @fatfurious2 should do this since his ac compressor is just for looks :cookiemonster:
Of course then you will have no A/C in summer, and swamp ass quickly takes over in this humidity.
