Well, I called Toyota USA earlier tonight and raised all of my concerns regarding my truck. The rep I spoke with was concerned that I was having so many issues with my truck, he said he was going to push this though to his case manager. What ever that means.

    Now we wait again. Lol

I called them to report this on Tuesday. The guy that helped me was super helpful and told me someone will call you in 1-3 business days. Yesterday I get a call (I did not have to call them after I cot my case number via email) from the case manage. She was very snotty. I told her "I commute 60 miles a day with my 8 yr old son in my car and my truck almost CAUGHT FIRE"

She asked (interrogated) me questions for about 30 minutes and then said she was going to forward this to their "claims" department wtf that ever means. So far, still very disenchanted.

YES PLEASE IF YOU HAVE A SEAT HEATER ISSUE PLEASE REPORT ALL OF THEM. They handled my case like it was the first they ever heard about it.

That’s part of the protocol statement I was speaking about yesterday. Yes, they always act surprised! They know what’s going on, it’s just part of the dance I guess

Its almost a dog and pony show. The lady asked me "at this point, what do you expect from Toyota" I answered, "With the plathera of issues yet to be addressed, I want Toyota to get me a truck thats not gonna catch fire...

She did not like that... lol (Sir, regarding THIS thermal event, what would you like Toyota to do" I answered "Fix it"

I dont hold much faith in this inquiry nor the outcome. Toyota has ignored me for 55k miles and 3 years regarding the wireless charger, cluster needle tic toc, radio restart, random trip reset, random vibrations, so I am not waiting by the front door so to speak....

I don’t have Facebook so I can’t open it up fully. Was that from a heated seat?

Here are some screenshots of that video. I dont think this was a seat. Maybe something to do with he missing driver rear wheel... Fuel or oil seem to have caught fire...

I agree, looks like some leak caught fire, maybe together with loosing a wheel which sparked and caused the fire. Forensics at play... lol jk

Good or bad news? Now I am nervously excited. I have not heard any news where I was told to keep it on the down low... lol

It’s good info, moving forward. Not necessarily on the down low, I haven’t talk to them yet so I have nothing to report but it has to do with the transportation department of America

Well I am having issues with my seats in my 2016 TRD off road ... they have not worked in over a year ... I have like 20k miles on the truck and upon inspection the amplifiers, connectors and indicators all appear fine, just no heat in the seats. After a call to Toyota it looks like I have to ship it north to the Toyota dealer at my expense to get it troubleshooted if I want it fixed.

Kinda pissed about the idea of a $575 round trip shipping bill for this BS ...my 2018 Ram got shipped by Dodge for a parking sensor issue... to the same dealer with no out of pocket expense. And to think I have been thinking about a 2019 TRD pro 4Runner ...
