I think I speak for most men here in that we would probably prefer the spread eagle shot. Sneak peaks are a tease...

I feel like I'm losing my mind. To be fair I did just get done working a particularly long shift after not getting much sleep, but I feel like I'm in an episode of the twilight zone...

Before this morning I believed that re-gearing would throw my speedometer off. Based off of an online calculator, if I re-geared from 3.73 to 4.88 at ring and pinion my speedometer should be off by about 10 mph (35 on speedometer vs actually going ~26.)

I bought a speedometer calibrator and entered my info, from 3.73 to 4.88 Ratio. I plug it in and my speedometer is off by about 10mph (speedometer reads 25 but I'm going 35). I unplug the calibrator and my speedometer is now accurate...

Now I'm questioning whether I even regeared... was 6th gear at 3,000 RPMS alway 60 MPH? Fuck I need some sleep...

The only thing I can think of is that the speedometer counts revolutions at the wheels and I didn't need the calibrator at all.

    BTW, happy belated birthday Don.

I don't think regearing will require recalibration. But, on the other hand if you put bigger tires that will throw your speedometer off because the sensor counts the revolutions. same thing happened to me when I switch to 35 and my speedometer is off by 6 or 7 miles approximately. I remember someone else mentioning that when you calibrate don't enter the gear ratio just enter the actual size of tires in inches. That should help calibrate the speedometer.
