Brian, @thefatkid and anyone else with helpful information:

what would be a good choice for a replacement Distributor to the oem on a 3VZE (1993 T4R w 140K miles)??? Presuming only remanufactured/aftermarket parts are available ?

Have a source? Thinking the parts yard probably not the best source. Thanks to all with assistance.

Thanks. Thought the junk yard route would end in the same result - old and warn out. It is a friend in MT who has the T4R - a 1993 with 140K. Engine, timing belt, water pump,... and heads are fine - but as noted the antiquated distributor has given up the ship. Figured a remanufactured would be better but not sure where to point him.

I'd trust a used one before a "re-manufactured" one. What on the distributor wore out? Those are typically lifetime in my experience.
