I was going to take my truck in to get fluid filmed this weekend, but it is supposed to be rainy all week. i leave it parked outside. Is the rain going to spoil the fluid film?

Not sure if I need to get it applied on a sunny week, so it has time to dry/set in.

Sunny days are recommended so that the fluid film can warm up and seep into all the cracks and crevices. The rain likely won't wash it off but I would probably wait for peace of mind.

Curious if there are places around that FF for you? I've always just done it myself and to get back to your question, I would wait for a sunny stretch to do it outside and let the heat do its job. Also want to make sure the frame is dry and clean before applying it

Is snow season starting soon where you are?

If not, are you getting some pre- season discount?

Personally, I would wait to apply it sooner to the time road salt will be used.

If you have a concern about application during rain, I would call the company directly and speak with someone there- 888-387-3522

Fluid film is good stuff- I spray it on myself on a twice per year schedule- fall and spring.

I would not apply it if it was raining or forecasted to rain, fwiw.

Yes you can apply fluid film on a rainy day.

FF doesn’t need to “cure” or “set”.... it stays wet... and seeing as it’s designed to keep water off the chassis.....rain isn’t going to effect it any.

As for getting hot and weeping into the nooks and crannies..... it’s going to do that any time it gets hot after it’s been applied.... it doesn’t need to be the same day

Fluid film away and don’t worry about it

i will have to beg to differ there, had 2 failures in key splash areas in rear wheel wells on my old truck
i may have applied it out of season IDK why is just washed clean off rolling down a wet splashy road
but its disappearance induced some major flash rust under there that i was trying to clean and proper coat with HD stuff

had to temp primer the area and now is coated with some real NASTY corrosionX that I will keep an eye on for durability until late spring when temps are better

i may have pics as proof but might have one in the set missing was so fed up with it when it was 0 degrees out and my frame was all crusty orange looked it sickened me
