    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
I look at it this way:

Access Cabs & Regular Cabs: Owned by a mostly "younger" TW'ers
Double Cabs: Owned by mostly "older" TW'ers

This obviously is a generalization. Sure, there are 40 y/o with ACs and 16 y/o with DCs.

My initial foray into buying a Tacoma was online research, and I was convinced that I needed an access cab. Convinced until I actually got into one. If I never expected to have more than one other person in my truck, if I didn't want some more space to put stuff out of the weather, if I was convinced that I wouldn't be having children within the next 5 years, etc I would have gone with the access cab.

Getting into a double cab and access cab in 5 minutes overruled months of research I had done online.

Double cabs are where it's at! :D

I don't need to say anything as they were my exact reasons!

That, and the DC LB was too much $ here in FL. Plus I'm not married and don't fist pump with my bois.

My older Toyotas trucks were all xcabs w/ only 2 doors.
Had both a 1GEN tundra w/ 4 full doors & an AC. The crewcab was too big for me. The AC's doors seemed to rattle on occasion. My Tacoma DC is right sized for me & ol Mr. Simon :D

Because their opinion of what looked good was different from yours.

I love my DC and dont like the looks of AC. Plus I have kids, but would have got the DC either way.

    huh?

that's just your opinion. in my opinion the dc look better - however, i will say there's not a huge difference between the way the two look. i'm kind of surprised someone would ask this question as to me, the answer is obvious. i want the functionality of being able to carry 5 people while still owning a truck. too limited otherwise... and i'd never want anyone to ride in the back of an access cab for very long - nor would i even sit back there like cargo....

I got mine because you are a major DB if you make your buddies sit in the back of an AC Tacoma...and I like the extra space for my stuff which gets it out of the elements.
