What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I have had this happen twice this year with things ordered off of Amazon. Amazon told me to wait 24hrs before filing a claim, since somehow/sometimes USPS will show the package delivered and will not actually be delivered until the next day.
Both times the package showed up the next day.

 

Spray paint. I found the closest blue I could find and keep a few cans around for just this type of thing...

 

I have had similar experience with Amazon orders.

 

Staying with the Friday theme. Put on a hood decal yesterday.

 

Got a carport installed to keep hail, tree sap, limbs, and vicious crow poop off it. And black tube steps

Very cool! I should do the same thing. Or clean the other side of my garage out.

Who am I kidding, a carport would be so much easier.

 

Nice, I have the shelter logic portable garage. Have to replace tarps every few years. Mind giving out the size and cost of that thing?

Its 12x24, 6 and a half at the posts. Each one cut to be level, one extra sheet of tin each side and anchored to the ground. $1585 with tax. Much better quality than the ones you see lined up on roads. G and L car ports. I have a 15x20 also but barely holds rav and Tacoma, very tight.

 

Well......doing a new job of sorts...same place, NASA....working Orion. That’s been keeping me busy!

Actually right now down in Mexico. Cancun of all places....really my worst impression of Mex since it’s terribly expensive and mucho pressure for tipping for everything. Why I have always avoided it all these years. But....did it for my daughter’s hard work, second year of college and scholarships. She switched universities, from a private one to ‘public’, saved dad about $12K per year. And for the wife since she wanted to go to Mex but I wasn’t going to take my family to the places I use to go to surf on mainland Mex, west coast. Has gotten too sketchy with the Cartels, etc the last few years. Sucks because that part of Mex was my paradise, 2 hr flight(use to drive it when young, always an adventure), rent a car and head out to some small fishing villages and world class point breaks. Miss it terribly.
In Cancun, good thing.....there is actually surf out in front of our condo....chest high, NOT world class surf as the other side of Mex.....but fun for them....and me that they are having fun.
We went out to Isla Mujeres on a 60’ catamaran yesterday. It was a little windy coming back into Cancun, but a great, fast sail.....I use to race catamarans years ago. Loved it!
I don’t like heights but to get that full tourista thing going on, we did the parasail thing today.
All I’m thinking is I’m spending money to scare the chit outta me, while daughter and wife are harassing me for being a wimp. Vacation?
Plus daughter told the driver I don’t like heights so he speeds up to get us higher....she’s calling me on the walkie-talkie they had attached to the parasail saying laughing big time, “Hey dad is it high enough yet!!??”
So funny....!
I knew it was a bad omen is when wife says “Oh look, it has a Smiley face....”.
Ok, so if they have fun at my expense, no pun intended, I’m ok with that! Sort of!

Other than that, I would say I’m all done with my mods, but I know from past experience on TW, and from me lurking here, thinking I was done, I will end up modding something at some point!

BTW my hands never relinquished their death grip on the straps on the parasail until I got back on the boat.
