I need Tacoma Twin Turbo numbers. 500whp?

 

What about the awesome blowoff valve sound... i dont know if its good or bad, but i do know it can sound cool sometimes

BOV/BPV sounds are great man. I love them. They also aren't enough to wreck your turbo if you were to just sit there and build boost to hear the BOV and then shut it down.

 

Just saying, but forced induction can give you better mpg as long as you don't go heavy foot on the gas pedal. That's why Ford uses turbos on their ecoboost motors

 

Lifetime oil changes here...

 

This engine will handle way more than 4-5 lbs of boost on stock internals. I say 10-12 with a performance tune to 15 with a temp spike to 18psi. Regardless, it ain't about the psi it's about amount of total airflow

Garrett ball bearing snail with coated hotside paired with an externally vented wastegate all flow ported through my Manderal bent Tig welded Titanium 3” header and downpipe.

There will be a new thread for boost after 1.05 release.

1.05 release is about 10 days out.

The turbo kit come with GT2560Rs and they fit nicely.

I'll be working on a boost controller of my own design once I figure out what micro controller I want to use. That way I can setup an *OEM* look with boost buttons for tow, street, off road. But that's later.

 

Welcome home Mat. Guess that the TOW TRIP went well? Not too bad for that trip to give you the data that you needed for the release of the tune update. I tow a 16 foot trailer for my hunting and fishing trips. Only 1900 lbs behind me. 2017 Tacoma 4X4 access cab 3.5L. Order number 2112. Looking to the "ADVANTAGES" of the 1.05 tune? Any? I would think so since you are going to release it. Hints?

 

Can't wait to run 1.05 M/T 91 octane file for 04B13.

Should be a milestone in tune development.

Or we just keep this thread on topic relating to OVTune. Even though I know that is wishful thinking lol.

Majority of OVT customers are NOT interested in the turbo kit. Mat said he will start a new thread for the turbo kit after 1.05 release. I muted/ignored some users that blabber on about the turbo kit. You can do the same to cut down the "noise".
