I am just running a "secondary" cooler mounted inline with my stock remote cooler. I don't run a bypass as it never really gets cold enough here to need one. I am not really a fan of the bypasses. When I lived in WY and had a secondary cooler on my old truck I just disconnected the secondary cooler lines and used a brass fitting to loop them. In essence bypassing it and just using the cooler in the radiator. Your filter set up is a good one I've thought about doing one and mounting it on my frame rail. Also is the fan really needed on your trans cooler. Pusher fans like that kind of disturb the air going to it. In our climate without a fan and offroading all day a/c on I've seen a high trans temp of 180. That was on a 102° day.

Are you near Tim at all? Bought a shovel from him and trying to work out getting it to aoaa or rausch at some point. I’ll be at rausch next Saturday

I’ll be at AAOA on Oct 19.

I’m about 12 mikes from Jimmy, so no problem grabbing them.

Does jimmy=tim? That’d work out well. If you’d be able to bring it to aoaa, I’ll find someone from here that can grab and it bring it south.

    Yeah

    Jimmy = Tim

I think Jimmy is smarter that Tim tho.

I’ll pick it up when I visit @HolyHandGrenade to show me how to do a CMC.

    It’s simple Floyd

    1) Grab angle grinder.

    2) Chop cab mount.

Finally got around to buying a 42” Plano rifle case to store the majority of my recovery gear.

This way I don’t need to open the swingout and my drawer to get to stuff. That proved to be troublesome last time I went wheeling when I was on a really steep hill.

Used six 1/4” carriage bolts, some 1.25” washers and nylock nuts. It’s not going anywhere.

But I’m not smart. I’m pretty slow.

I like to look at examples. Then think things through. Measure. Then measure again.

Then double check to make sure I thought things through.

    Then :sawzall:

    Then cut crooked.

    Then recut and re-grind.

It really is easy. You just use the CMC plates as a template, trace it, and cut away.

(I had to cut more after this for my 295s)

Love those cases for the top. Keeps shit out of the back, getting in the way. I have one designated for camp stuff and the other for recovery. Set them up with quick release dedent pins. Work great.

What do you mean quick release? So you can take them on and off the truck? Or open the lid easier? I need answers!

This is what happens if you don’t think things through.
