PTR13-35150 - Bilstein TRD PRO kit - Upgrade??

No clue what it’s called, but I had that piece on my leaf pack too. I can only assume it’s purpose is to give a little protection from any rubbing that may take place between the leaf pack and the axle.

Don’t mess with them is likely your best options. Most all factory leaf packs will begin to make noise over time but will remain noise free longer than any aftermarket pack or a factory pack with an AAL of any kind.

I’ve run Dakar’s and loved them, but I could hear them squeaking when UPS dropped them off at my door. As @Dee1seven mentioned, there are a few remedies to moderate the noise, but in my experience the squeaking always returns.

My suggestion is to either never mess with to begin with, or simply get used to the squeak.

Hey Tacos in Gensokyo your truck has a nice stance! I bought this trd suspension for my SR 4cyl but haven't installed it yet. How do you like the ride compared to stock? Also any issues, alignment difficulties etc?

 

Best money I ever spent on a vehicle. No known issues, needle bearing didn't fail (YRMV) and ride is much nicer than stock. I had a local shop put these in and they had no issues aligning it.

 

Thanx Tacos in G, glad to hear. I just wanted to hear from an actual SR 4cyl like mine. To be safe, I might order a front diff drop to help keep a better CV angle and OE geometry.

 

Anyone have any drive time towing with this suspension ?

Anyone know how much lift those spacers really add to the front? I've got the TRD pro baja suspension, but I swapped the rear spring pack with the Icon RXT setup and don't want to end up with a reverse rake situation. Been looking for a thread that has the info, but can't seem to find it. Any help is appreciated.

 

See above. 2nd gen, but might help give you an idea. My truck sits pretty level.

 

What came in the box with this kit ?
I found a single open bag that was separate from the individual shock boxes.

The bag is marked with: Part # B4-XB1-Z096A (?)
(Some numbers may be missing)

It contains the following:
1- Cap Screw
1- Washer
1- Brake Line Spacer
1- Brake Line Clamp

I am wondering if this is for front or rear, left or right side and/or if there should be one kit for each side ?

This is for the Driver side Rear brake line. It gives you another inch so you don’t over extend your brake line. Yes, only one necessary.

EDIT: Go to post 1083 of this thread. Find the Toyota Pro Kit installation instructions. Go to page 7. They are discussed there.

I got a set last spring but won’t be using it. Going to go a different setup, about 1” lift.

Just one guy's opinion...

I installed this combination along with Headstrong's 3 leaf AAL's and left the Sumo springs that were already on my '17 TRD 4X4 AT Sport a couple weekends ago.

If it's lift your after, I would recommend looking at a different solution as the gain was minimal....
but performance wise, I am very happy with the ride this combination gives !

An obvious heightened level and feeling of sure footed-ness over the stock Hitachi's as well as reduced bump steer is apparent.
The setup also handled my #4500 trailer very well.

Worth the effort and expense in my opinion

 

I have heard of the rear shocks leaking on the Gen 3 with aal. Anyone else habhav problems.
