It’s worth it. I think you can get 3 for like 75 or 80. I did them when I was searching for my truck. $50 is cheap if it prevents a $30k mistake.

That was what made me decide not to buy a Frontier. I had one as a rental for a few days before I bought my Tacoma and any drive over 40 minutes would consistently kill my back.

That's a lot of the reason I went with an F-150 instead. The 6 MPG hit would get expensive with a 50 mile commute--I figure I'm saving about $1000/year.

Ya the f150 with 2.7 is what I was originally leaning towards however they also seem the most expensive with the least amount of discounts.

MSRP on mine was $48ish, I was around $10k under that in the end. It's an XLT 2.7 SuperCab with almost every option.

FWIW, when I bought my '16 the MSRP was 43K+, and after a lot of back and forth I ended up getting it for $32.5 :notsure:
I didn't have all of the bells & whistles (no heated seats, no sunroof, no rear slider) but I still had a lot more of them than I'd have gotten for a similarly-priced Toyota.

Look at dealer listings and add up the incentives. Remember that number. I was around $5500 in incentives.

Take 93% of MSRP and subtract the total incentives. That will be roughly invoice pricing, and you should have no problem getting a dealer to do that, maybe better now because you are close to the end of the model year.

Took about an hour to get to Falmouth. Officially glamping, didn't get out where I wanted but hey w/e it's only two nights. Trans temp only got to 213. Other than one time when I emergency stopped for a dumbass state trooper who threw the door wide open without looking and not being off to the shoulder far enough.... He looked at me like ohh whoops. I got angry and floored it back up to speed lol. Thinking we need Prozac for one of the dogs.... She's psycho. Constantly anxious.

I don't think we're going to pursue the car anyway... Been reading some real bad reviews online about the dealership. Not just customer service related, but also the quality of the vehicles and them not fully disclosing everything about them, meaning, stuff that's wrong with them.

Company picnic today was ok. Hot and humid as fuck though.

Wife picked up kids from daycare early, and met me there. Got the feeling that they didn't have as much stuff for the little kids this year. Kinda felt like they did it (the picnic) just so people wouldn't complain they stopped, or don't do it anymore.

They usually have a raffle with some ok prizes. Gotta be there to win obviously. Wife saw the prize table, and automatically set her eyes on something.

They called my name, so I went up with my oldest. Let him pic the prize number from the bag. Aaaaaannnnndddd... The wife lucked out and we got what she wanted.

    received_1797445723710032.jpg

On a side note... I always find it awkward hanging out with co-workers, especially when I "dislike" a good bunch of them, or don't really interact with them. My coworker has the right idea; he doesn't do company functions like this. He's the quiet and keep to yourself kinda guy. Even with me, and we're a team. Doesn't share much from his personal life. I should follow the example.

MassLive was living on that story for a solid week haha.

That's a good idea but instead we will spend a shitload of taxpayer money to keep him dressed, fed and clean in a state prison for life

This guy's going away for a long time. He was already out early on prior charges and they know they fucked up on that one. State DA has been making a push, or so it seems, to come down harder on these guys.

I'm about to take off. Spending the day fishing with my BIL on his boat in NH. He's got a setup that would make any guy that's into fishing chubby. He's got a orange Ford Raptor and a matching Ranger bass boat to go along with it. Hell even his trailer is painted to match. Should be a very fun day. Hope I don't get too soaked
