Pb cookies are my favorite and this is the first time a batch of cookies from scratch ever worked out for me (well I mean besides no baked chocolate oatmeal) most of the time I wind up with a melted tray of cookie dough I eat with a spoon

Yea, I'll eat basically anything and sweets are my kryptonite. Old school crispy PB cookies will win over any other kind with me. My great grandmother used to make them for us when I was like 4 or 5. I still have the spatula she used to press them. I collect weird stuff related to cooking. Cook books too. I have one written by Vincent Price and his wife, and another, signed first edition written by the wife of a former Governor of Maryland. I only collect unique ones. Native American recipes. White Trash Cooking is a good one. I'm actually published in two.

My first attempt to make cookies using parchment paper were chocolate chip. On a true cookie sheet. The kind with no lip on three of the sides. I didn't know parchment was so slick. The whole batch with the paper slid off and fell in the crack of the oven door. They all became one huge cookie.

    Tasted great.

I started cooking when I was like 8 or 9. Living in Hawaii, Dad was stationed at Kaneohe AFB.

My first dish was a bulls eye. The egg cooked in a hole in a slice of bread.

I've cooked a lot throughout my life, for money. Did a catering gig. Meh, too much work. As I got older I stopped liking getting paid to do it and liked doing it more for fun for family and friends.

So I really enjoy your posts and vids. Keep up the good work. You always make me hungry :thumbsup:

 Crazy! Yea, I tell ya, knowing how much the liquor costs retail makes it very hard to accept. It was the same way for us in New Orleans. However, sometimes you have to cave, knowing it's more about the experience and the memories.

Such was the case when we went to the Carousel Bar. The drink prices were high but when do you ever get the chance to drink at a bar that is round, decorated like a carousel and rotates around the bar back with you on the stools?!

From what I've seen so far of the pics you've shared, I'm sure you're dropping serious coin. But for me, as long as each experience imparts a memory that you'll have for life, then its worth every penny.

Life's short Bro. Do as much as you possibly can! Regret nothing!

All I know is I'm super :jellydance:.
