All grain free have either potatoes, lentils, or peas it seems like.

My guy gets grain free mostly because grains make him scratch all day. It's either a very, very low risk of heart problems or being itchy and uncomfortable daily.

Or raw, but I don't have the time for that.

I’m always suspicious of fad diets. When the vet suggested grain free, I had to think about that for a bit. Since Riley is in the itch phase with some foods, I tried for a bit with no real change. We went through several brands before the Costco salmon and rice seemed to do the trick. That and lamb.

If your dog has allergies, you can try different proteins. I also wipe Riley off on a regular basis. Just a damp cloth. That’s helped most for him. And if he’s having a really bad day, Apequel (sp?) which works really well but comes with its own set of risks.

Our bulldogs did great on Apequel for a year then with in a couple of week period both of them had a horrible reaction. We are now on Cytopoint injections every 6 weeks or so when the itching seems to start bothering him again. Cytopoint seems to have much fewer risks then Apoquel.

I have always feed grain free and mostly made my own raw diet for all my dogs. For my French bulldog we could never get a raw food dialed in right for him and finally gave up. He has been doing great on Wellness Raw Rev for about 4 months now and has all but eliminated his shedding.

we had always fed our dogs science diet original, which is chicken and corn based... our lab pup would fart up a storm, my son convinced me to switch her to the Costco salmon and sweet potatoe formula in the blue bag... no more farting, and she loves it, 11 years later, she's still happy

She's been with us a month now. This was her first ride home. Rescued her from Long Beach animal shelter. Great dog. Can't wait to take her on her first camping trip

I’d strap the crate down to bed with ratchet straps and a bungee across the door. We don’t transport much and it’s a short drive if any.
@Cypherian built a nice rear seat transport.

I went a couple blocks without mine secured to our developments park. It fell over on the only turn I had to make and the crate opened up, he got spooked and actually jumped out of my truck while it was moving. I always secure it now. He still has scars from the road rash, but didn't hurt himself other than that.

When anyone comes to visit she’ll do the barking bit to prove that she is paying attention but then she immediately goes into the “I stopped barking so in turn you have to scratch my butt” mode.

He def doesn’t bark at people coming in his space...even strangers...but he will whine cry and make a scene until he gets pets

In this pic he had just finished trying to crash the golf cart by panicking and stepping on the gas pedal as we were riding

Chance got to play with @FirstTimeFirstGen's dogs while we worked on my truck.

Chance really only wanted Gabe's attention the whole time.
