Y’all got me thinking I need a couple handheld HAM radios. I’m looking at the Baofeng BF-F8HP for me and an extra UV-5R V2 + Plus as a spare. A couple questions for y’all:
Are these 2 good beginner choices (I have zero intentions of getting seriously into this)?
How difficult is the programming to load all the most needed channels?
I’m familiar with CB’s and have had them in all my rigs. I only want to invest in one or the other so should I stick with CB or go HAM even though I know nothing about HAM?
    Thanks!

You missed the glory days when every post on the site used to get a chadspride thumb of approval in seconds. Then they cut off chad’s thumb for a while, only to return it later.

I’m trying to change hub assemblies on wife’s outback, and getting those bolts out from around the cv boots is proving to be extremely fun. It’ll be a good day if I don’t wreck a cv boot or break an abs sensor. But first I have to go buy axle nuts, because I didn’t research well enough beforehand to know those need changing.
