The deal was right, so, we took it. I'm glad, though. With all my friends and all the bonfires we have, somebody's gonna need a DD, right?

interesting post. I had an extended cab in my dodge and I always envied the double cab. The extended cab was a great place to throw a bunch of crap and it not get in the way.
I bought the 10 DC. 4 adults can fit without teir knees being in their chest.
If the truck wasn't more than a toy I would have opted for the aC.
but with the truck being more thn just a toy the DC is a perfect fit for me and the household.
My wife told me I wanted another truck. I chose the tacoma DC.

I needed to be able to mount a car seat safely and I sometimes need room for 4 people. It's the best solution to my vehicle needs. Simple as that. I had a Ford Ranger with the little wing doors, they were about useless and when I looked at the rear seats in the Access Cab Taco they looked slightly better than useless so I went with the Double Cab.

Wanted a Tacoma for a few years and was decided on an AccessCab. I never even considered a DC, becasue I wanted MT and 6ft bed. Had an F-150 extended cab and it was just perfect for me. When I test drove one AC I quickly realized its much smaller back there than a full size truck and quite useless for anybody to sit there. I found a decent deal on a DC and decided to sacrifice the 6ft bed for MT.

I think they got 'em because they're sissies...:D

Oooohhhh......I need a place for my kids but I don't want to buy a Ford Edge even though I think they look cool and my wife likes them....oooohhh....

    Of course I'm kidding!

I really don't care what style truck people have. I wanted the Access Cab for the very reasons that I:

1.) Didn't want to have to carry people around.

2.) Want the hauling capacity without the longer wheelbase of a DC/Long bed.

3.) Don't have any kids, and am not planning on having any for a while, and even if I did, there would be plenty of room back there for at least 2-3 years.

4.) I like my puppy dog to be near me. ;)

But I don't judge people for their needs/wants. That's why Toyota makes a variety of vehicles.
