What do you guys think about this AAL? I have seen many good reviews all round the net.

I wouldn’t buy that. With no friction pads, you can guarantee that they will be squeaking like a banshee in less than a year. Then you’ll be buying Deavers, Wheelers, HS, or some other decent brand and doing your AAL all over again.

Ask me how I know.

 

Ok, how do you know??? What 2 inch AAL do you recommend for a tight budget?

Just spend the money once. Any of the major brands will work. Most people here advocate for the progressive AAL for its smoother ride, but single AAL will do the trick as well. You can get 1-1/2” AAL, keep your overload, and net the 2” of lift.

I have a Wheelers single AAL and it’s fine for me, but trust me you don’t want to go cheap and easy with your leaves. You’ll end up doing it again.

 

Wheelers AAL22 is inside the budget.

 

Nice. Your stock u-bolts will be fine, but make sure you get new centering pins.
