    Hi Everyone!

I just landed a silver streak mica 2008 Tacoma. Here are the details . . .

4wd, automatic, double-cab, trd sport, trd exhaust, and tube steps.

It's being built right now and it's expected to arrive later this month! This website has been very resourceful. Hope to be active on this forum soon.

On a side note, I hope to get a TRD supercharger installed as soon as they're out. I've been emailing TRD and they said the 4.0L supercharger is due for release this fall. Can anyone else confirm that?

Thanks guys. Pics will be coming.

The one thing about the TRD supercharger is that it will be fully covered under warranty throughout the duration of the truck's original warranty if installed by a Toyota dealership. I'd definitely consider URD's if TRD fails to release the 4.0L soon.

Yes, if installed by the $tealer. I would get the fuel upgrades from URD though, if they make any.

I am in the military and currently deployed in Iraq. I'll be coming back to the States in the middle of September just in time for the 2008 Tacomas to come out. This will be my first truck and I'm wondering if anyone knows if Toyota offers a military discount on their vehicles.

I am pretty sure that military discounts are on a dealer basis. You might want to call/email your local dealer to see what you can get.

i was deployed to iraq july-nov last year and i wished the military had the AAFES sales on toyota vehicles like they do w/ dodge, ford, and harley. i'd have definately ordered it through them, but i called from over there and my dealer was great getting my truck b/c there was only one listed in the SE and it was going to be headed to alabama...haha

Welcome! I'm brand new too to this Toyota website and just recently bought an '08 quad cab TRD in November. Anyway, I'm in the AF and when I was on leave in OH I saw that in the paper Toyota was offering a $400 military discount but they renig on it saying that it was "only offered incertain states". Usually if they offer a military discount they'll offer the same if you've received an 2 or 4 year degree in the last two years of wanting to purchase your vehicle. I hope this helps. Also, I have some more suggestions I found out after it was too late. Good luck!
