I have an 18 DCLB Sport 4x4. It was built in Feb this year. After the 1500 miles she started to learn my driving habits. Went to the dealership for my 5000 service and asked for the 62-18 TSB and stated I was getting some hesitation and shifting of the gears and specifically asked about the TSB 62-18. No problem says the service writer. Also I asked not to touch the air pressure because of the Nitrogen but they ran them up to 35 lbs anyway. No big deal, no transmission check was done, ok whatever. I was told this by the tech that my truck would not take the 62-18 but only would let him install the TSB 58. Is that Bullshit or what. Why cant he add that particular TSB 62 -18 that everyone else is getting. Is the two TSBs the same. I'm a little pissed but the TSB 58 made a great truck even better. I mean no hunting for gears, runs is ass off. I'm impressed. Take it as is or demand the TSB62. Is there a difference?

No difference because I’ve had them all and once the truck goes back to learning again after a few thousand miles it drives like hell again

I am guessing but if they installed the TSB 58 , and then tried the TSB 62 and the 62 was the same as the 58 , the comp. saw the 62 was not needed because it was already on the truck in the form of the 58 .
Edit , I went in for both and also only got the 58 installed .

It's because both TSB's call for the same update. If you do one you have both.

Its my 1st time doing the TSB. The truck never really had any issues but did feel the hesitation one or two times from 40 to 50. So I assume I have both the 58 and 62. It does drive a lot better, but drove great before. I will say I do feel a night and day difference. The Tech said it does not give him an option for the 62 and he cannot manually add the 62 tune.

The Tech said that the 62 would not come up to allow him to add the tune. My understanding is if I got the 58 then then 62 is the same. I have no issues at all on wot wot a stop. No issues between 40 and 50. The mpg have increased about 1 mpg. Same driving and same routes. I'm happy as it's just smoothed the vehicle throughout all the gears, cruise control is perfect, mpg increase and throttle response is better. If it runs this good I don't care if it's the 58 or 62. But are they the same.

I had the 58-18 done today on my 18’ DCSB off-road automatic. It’s like a totally different truck. No more lag no hesitation. BB46F88A-253D-4D2E-BFDD-0D9E43DFC2C3.jpg

58 and 62 are the same software version, exactly the same version. Although different descriptions are on each TSB, both issues fixed with either one. My guess is that TSB 58 was issued first and they eventually realized that it also fixed issue #2 ( wide open stumble ), so they issued TSB 62 to cover that described issue. If I'm wrong on the issuances of the TSBs, please correct me ( I really am speculating on that).
