Whether or not they're going into effect is still in the air. What is certain, if they do, the prices will absolutely increase. I saw estimations anywhere from $1800 to $3,500. I don't think anyone really knows yet. I did pull the trigger as soon as I saw them announced. A Japanese built vehicle like the rav4 or 4runner could be in the range of $6k more.

A big part if it has to do with the materials that go into them. I saw one projection where the Silverado could go up $8k because of the materials.

They already announced the price increase for the 4Runner and all models except the Pro went up like $100 or $200, the Pro was like $3400 but that was for new equipment. I highly doubt that any temporary tariffs are going to have much impact and we made a new trade deal with Japan last week.

You really need to find a different "news" source. Come back in a year and read your posts, laugh at the absurdity and move on.

I did see that about the options changing causing the 4runner pro going up. I was on vacation last week and hadn't seen the news on the trade deal with Japan. That's good for consumers.

I did say projected. I wasn't claiming it would go up. I was saying estimations were saying they could potentially. Obviously things can change. I didn't want to risk it. So I didn't wait to purchase.

Sounds like a new NAFTA deal with Mexico was just about completed too which should also be a benefit.

Yeah, it was my fault. I thought when the salesman said it's here waiting for you then he was actually telling the truth. It only took me 25 minutes to get to the dealership and I'm assuming another salesman sold it without my salesman knowledge.

Wish I could have gotten Black/Gun Metal interior on my 18. Good to see Barcelona staying in production.

I see an awful lot of inferno tacos and tundras on the road for it to be discontinued. Maybe I should have negotiated harder for mine.
