Ok I need to thank DSDS and TRDToy79 for these instructions

I have a 28lbs Boston Terrier that rides with me often. He is light enough to not engage the airbags, but heavy enough to set off that damn seatbelt chime. Everytime he hopes up to look out the window the chimes start going off.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this mod.

    Oh Yeah!!!
HA HA HA.... It actually worked. Not that I can afford to drive on post w/out a seat belt. But at least I have the power to decide with no anoying chime.

Thanks for allowing me to squeze in one small mod on my busy day:D

Yes, this is on of the top to do "mods" once you get your truck. Enjoy...no if we could only get the light to go off.

Ok, How do you turn on the chime if you want it on? I have an 06. I have the flashing seatbelt light, but might want to have the chim activated. I know its annoying.... but I have a really bad habit of not wearing the belt when I should be. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

I haven't done it but I'd presume you'd just hit the trip reset button on the last step until it says b-on. Make sense to me...

    I don't think it's available on the '06's. Only on '08+

I think the seat belt chime learns. I always put my seatbelt on after I start driving, within about fifty yards. It would always chime but I noticed it had stopped so I thought maybe it was broken. So I waited about sixty yards and it started up again.

If it keeps that up, it will eventually be able to drive to the destination for you.

It turns the chime off but the red light still flashes. If I just drive for about a minute the chime gets faster then the chime & light shut off.

I think by law it still has to go off initially. At least this way it behaves like most other vehicles instead of constantly annoying the crap out of you.
