I am lucky that I have no negative reactions. If that wasp was DUI/FUI (flying under the influence) does that mean I shouldn't drive. Around here we see more wasp/horents in late September/October when apples are falling.

my worst fear is yellow jackets. in the woods you disturb a ground nest they will swarm you. trail ridin horses in the woods and snakes, limbs, and a horse fallin are hazzards but.step on a yellowjacket nest and the next riders are in a heap of trouble!

That sucks hopefully the pain will subside after you drink that Beer !!!

Out here we've got some nasty wasps called Tarantula Hawks that if the Female stings you youll be in intense pain for quite some time . This wasp is rated #2 in pain index and #1 is the Bullet Ant

So if you ever see a dark blue Wasp with red wings , don't piss it off or it'll hurt bad !!

We have the hawk wasps but they hunt wasps and not us. The big red wasps will get ya if you’re too close. Yellow jackets even less

Know all about PF pain.... Thankfully haven't had an episode in several years now.... started wearing Sketchers with the round bottom and now Kuru shoes and it hasn't come back. Roll your foot on a can of food or tennis ball and STRETCH your calf multiple times a day.... or try these [IMG]

    KTP for the win

Like Martin, and you, I'm hot, wet and tired. Need to drive an hour to the River and pick my son up at the Amtrak station in an a couple of hours. Going to grill some food, hit the shower and then the road. Hope I can at least fit the shower in. I think a portable AC is freaking brilliant!!

Here and the North East too, thank you Johnny Appleseed. A lot of wild apple orchards in the woods but not near as many as there used to be. Shot more than a few deer over those apples during archery season, they seem to like them too.

Early fall hunting had that trouble more than once, except with the dog stirring them up for me in front. I'm allergic to Yellow Jackets but guess better me than the dog. In the fall they are mean assed little bastards. Hate them.

Time to light fires, corn soaking and meat salted. Been a long time since I've eaten. But thinking I have enough body reserves to get me by for an extended period of time :anonymous:

I’ve been trying to stretch. I’m past the tennis ball. My hamstrings are tighter than all get out. Trade one pain for another

I got these from MCRD San Diego for PF somewhere around 1998-2000. I have not worn them out in 18-20 years. I put them in all my boots/shoes. I'm going to try to get another set from MCAS Yuma. They are friggin awesome!
