Had one made at Walmart like 1.50. But it had plastic on the end with the ring. But i wanted to go old school with a total metal key. Got it made at ace hardware for like 8.00. Like having a all metal key.

I could see the ignition as being rekeyed. Not sure if its the key or the ignition lock but you do have to hit a "sweet spot" when inserting and turning the key, not too far in or else it wont turn.

So basically, you have a really worn key or a poorly made copy. You need to start with getting the ignition working good and then the door locks are a cake walk. I would say, go to the dealer with your registration and matching ID and tell them you want the key code for your vin number. Then take the key code and your truck to a reputable locksmith and let them figure out what you have going on.
