Look in the Owners Manual and it shows the procedure and the address to send the receipt to.

    It's the battery.
You turn the key, the solenoid energizes (clicks) to supply high current to the starter.
Starter draws current but battery cannot supply because its bad, voltages drops, solenoid opens because voltage now is low and cannot keep solenoid energized. (click).
Voltage goes back up now that and process repeats over and over til nothing happens because battery voltage is so low now it can't even energize solenoid.
    It sounds like chatter.

It will do same thing if starter is bad. The windings in starter grounds out an only thing that is happen is cables and starter are soaking energy up from battery because starter is grounded itself out and getting hot. Because it want turn. But, its probably battery.

Recently, I started my truck in 39 degree weather and drove about 2 minutes up the street and turned it back off thinking I would be there for a while. Meanwhile, I realized I forgot something I needed and went to start my truck again and it would not start. It wasn’t clicking, just wouldn’t turn over. After a few tries and few moments of waiting, it finally turned over and started.

    Thoughts?
