and those arent stains. The goo gone ate into the clear coat. Only a professional should try to cut and buff that out.

I've always used goof off without issue, my cousin details cars and uses goof off too and never had a problem. I pick as much as I can off first though so I minimize the time I'm using the goof off on the paint.

Try a polish on it and go from there.

About to debadge as well, but I picked up Goo Gone Automotive Goo & Sticker Remover.
    Think it'll be alright?

I've used Goo Gone on several different vehicles after de-badging, never did anything to the paint. Just spray it on a microfiber and rub the sticky crap off. I didn't dump the bottle onto the side of the vehicle.
Directions say Pre-test on an inconspicuous area.:D

I've used this 3M automotive adhesive remover on multiple cars, including one with black paint and never had an issue. Suggest masking the area and not using more than you need. May need to keep off plastics. ...And be gentle so as to not scratch, use a microfiber cloth. Also as someone else said, I've had good luck with fishing line too.

Yea... you used WAY too much!!

After debadging, I put a little bit of goo gone on a cloth and wipe it off gently. Then I use Maguires cleaner wax over that. No issues.

I couldn't remember which was ok for paint and which was not, so I used Bug and Tar remover. Worked fine. Used a plastic putty knife to get it started after parking in the sun for a few hours, then peeled right off.

Updated FYI rubbing compound worked perfectly fine, stains are gone with no issues.

I've always used goo-gone (smells like citrus). Never had any paint issues removing large sheets of vinyl from past cars.

Must be something they add into the paint. Used goo gone forever on lots of vehicles. But a small amount on a microfiber, rub with finger takes it all right off. Never had paint issues, but also never had it sit on the paint in the sun, or use enough to have it run. Glad you got it worked out. Also the paint on these things isn't the most durable
