Friend, ran over it in the middle of a storm and kept going. 70 Series LandCruiser. Says he’s going after it with a grinder and clippers.

So I hear a small clunking sound from my front drivers side tire. Thought it was a caliper but the bolts look fine. I didnt bother to look yesterday at the lugnuts because I rarely have any issues. Well today its getting a little worse...found one lug stud sheared off and the others loose!! WTH! So Im guessing someone tried to take off the wheel and sheered the first one and got interrupted on the rest? I dont know Ive never really had a problem out in here in the woods. but we have been in town a couple times, at walmarts etc. No maintenance has been done on tires in a long while. I would have noticed it clunking around and for them to be that loose It would have fallen completely off months ago...I dont know what gives. Going to put the new stud in tomorrow. Its on our 2014 F150...

I'd check every stud on that thing. But I'm a little over the top with my "better safe than sorry" mentality.

Ive never sheared a lug nut completely off, tightening by manual. I know you are supposed to torque them properly but I would think it takes a lot to shear a 4 yr old vehicle lug off...
