I sold my first one about 3-4 years ago to buy a Creed when it came out. I hated it and quickly sold it.

I was so upset that I tracked down a Z7Xtreme that was still new at a dealer and bought my 2nd one I’ll probably never part with at this point.

I really like the new Triax, but I would still keep my Z7Xtreme if I ever bought a different bow.

I have always shot 100 gr but I understand why others shoot 125 gr. More impact!

I will say it simply like this, the Indians had it right centuries ago.(and you know there a damn good shot) Now we call it weight forward technology. The 125 grain broadheads carry’s more kinetic energy, more “weight forward technology” to help stabilize the arrow in flight. And caring kinetic energy through meet mass and bone is never a bad thing. With that said, it is all I have ever shot my whole life.

    P.S.
The Indian statement comes from Fred bear\Ted Nugent, and you know those two have torn up some shit!

Those kind of stories are too familiar. I've had several that I would love to have "do overs". One in particular from 3 or 4 years ago that really haunts me. 9 yards and I blew it.

One year, I took what I considered to be a great buck, only to have his DAD come strolling by one week later. Couldn’t do anything but take pictures as it stroked on by.

I shoot 100gr out of the compound. My trad setup shoots a high FOC broadhead/arrow setup with a 200gr single bevel broadhead.

Thats funny, your avatar looks freakishly like the "dad buck"
This is the hunters version of "where's Waldo" (the river is about 40 yard away for reference)

I have dubbed this position death alley, it’s a clean cut line 70 yards out, in the photo I am looking at my 7 o’clock in my stand. So they come up from my 3-5 o’clock, and as they pass behind me they have no clue I’m there. I draw why the tree is between me and them lock my thumb in behind my neck turn to 7 o’clock and just wait. As they pass through death alley, I know where all my yardage markers are, I set up and send it. :D

Those pics do this old boy no justice but you get the idea!

That's not a deer you want to let walk by. That could not have been easy, but, in that situation, there is no other option. Good job of just shooting pics. Looks like he has some extra junk up there. I love that!

Yes, Now he does because he is matching his arrow/draw weight witch has gotten lower & lower as he's gotten older. Now he shoots like 45 pounds, & like 400-500 weight arrows, so now he's looking for all the speed he can out of them.(or something like that)
