Just juan.. they were really flexible and not spring loaded like I expected. When pushed in, they either gave all the way or just slowly bent and stayed bent

How does that Tundra ride compared to Tacoma. Much smoother and quieter? Loving my Taco but I could see a Tundra in my future a few years out.

Yes on both accounts. Much smoother and less road noise. Feels like it sits up a lot higher too.

Sorry to hear about your paint. I have to say mine is near flawless. Not bragging, just stating fact.
I wonder if yours received some damage and the dealer did a crappy repair/touch-up. :(

Check out the Xenon Depot review link in my sig before buying those HIDs.

But if you're set on HIDs I recommend @XenonDepot for those as well. Excellent customer service and satisfaction.

While this question was not directed to me, I did go from an '08 regular-cab Tacoma to an '11 Tundra, and now to a '17 double-cab long-bed Taco. That little regular cab was rough on a bad road. It probably didn't help that I put 10-ply BFG tires on it for the last 1 1/2 year I owned it, but with the very short wheel base and fairly stiff suspension, it was pretty bouncy. The Tundra was a huge improvement from the creature-comfort standpoint.

But it was too big for my needs, although I did need a larger truck for a year or so in 2012, and it served me very well then. My thinking is that if a guy really needs a full-size truck, then that's what he needs. But once that time passed for me, I found myself not liking the poor fuel economy and trying to park the big Tundra. It was just too big. The '17 Tacoma has been great, improved fuel economy, more creature comforts than my Tundra had although not as much room in the cab, and easier to maneuver in dense traffic and to park, it's narrower and more nimble, but because it is a DCLB it is as long as the Tundra was, so still offers an occasional parking challenge.

For a number of years I drove a 2000 Wrangler as my only vehicle. I recently parked next to an older TJ in a parking lot and laughed when I noticed that when the noses of our vehicles were lined up, the back of the Jeep ended before the bed of the Taco began! I do remember how great that Wranger was to park.

HIDs or LEDs for low beams? With these projector setups, some say HID (static?) Lets hear your real world experience please.

Thanks. Yes i came from an Expedition that rode very smooth but the width was getting old. I wanted some narrower and the Tacoma does stay within in the lines much easier. I do miss the super quiet smooth ride though. My trailer is less than 3000 lbs so When I move up to something a bit bigger, although the Taco can handle 4000 lb ones I am looking at,I may want the bigger truck. I do need to remind myself from time to time about how the Tacoma size being the main reason I wanted it. Thanks for the insight.

I know it can handle more but I am looking at Winnebago Micro Minnies and Winnie Drops. All under 4k. I need to keep trailer size to around 20ft due to my narrow driveway and street. I intend on doing some coast to coast driving and the Tundra may be more comfortable for the 400+mile days.
