Cool. I lived in Kennesaw for a brief while and liked it. Atlanta traffic, though. :bananadead: If I ever end up back in FL it would probably be on the Gulf side just because there's more work there.

Damn. This got me thinking- entering my 14th year here in a couple months! Love it! :)

By the way- Roper dropped the ball big time. These things almost always require prior authorization from insurance. Appears Roper simply did not get it done. Hope it gets worked out.

2 snatch blocks is plenty imo. I have one and have never had to use it.

Synthetic line can be tied together in case it breaks as well

Land anchor is nice piece of mind as well.

Plenty of shackles to for everything

I did some work at the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield last summer for the National Park Service. Also spent a great deal of time at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. A lot of spots in the CRNRA make you feel like you're not even in the middle of ATL!

Been in SC for 8 years now. Originally from Wisconsin and can't stand this heat! Been wanting to get out on some trails on my bike and I just can't because I'd die 10 minutes into the ride. :bananadead:

Remember you load the truck down too much and it's chances of sinking in the mud and having to use that stuff increases even more. I didn't see any traction boards in your pics get a couple sets of those lighter than having a bunch of redundant stuff especially if they only have one use. Redundancy is good if the tools have multiple uses.
Get syn. line and buy a factor 55 quick splicer for trail repair.
Yeah screw a come-a-long I've used them before as well never again. Even with tasks like getting my big ass tool box onto a trailer I looked for every other option possible than breaking that thing out.

You should take a trip up to Blue ridge overland gear they produce your deadman land anchor. Pretty slick. I have been up there a few times and they'll take you for a tour and introduce you to everyone and show you all the ins and outs of the company. Very open to the public about who and what they are which I like. I was surprised to see them making the deadman anchor the first time I went pretty cool that they got the contract to produce it.

That's who made and shipped mine.

I was #200 something, it's a sweet idea. Would hate to use it in hard ground where the old school PayPal would work

Have you been up to Dupont State Forest? It should be at least 5 or 6 degrees cooler up there and I hear it's great for biking.

I'm not really loaded up right now. My traction boards are in my barn right now, but they are going back in the truck today.

This particular incident was just a dumbass move on my part. We went to the landfill, and on the way back I can take a forest service road instead of the highway, so we did. It was supposed to just be a quick little trail ride, but there was a path off the road that I decided to go down despite my wife's misgivings. I should know better than to take the truck offroad without at least some company.

If all goes well this Friday I am going to buy Brad's winch from him.

Yeah I used them a few times to
Move logs and shit and I hate them! Just trying to get a 500 to 600 pound ATV out of a mud hole sucked and took so long. When parents got a side by side we put a 3k pound winch on it. Have using it get down out of mud holes a few times, I’d say if you have a winch get a winch line extension. I was surrounded by trees, but nothing was big enough to pull a 1300 pound side by side out and to pull all the cable out and use a tow strap to reach a tree. Lol

Got stuck in Daniel Boone state forest years ago with only my hi-lift jack. Had to winch myself 6-7 ft in 100 deg heat. That was a turning point for me and bought my winch hrs after I got out of that mess.

Whelp, getting geared up with my Fall schedule. Only 5 weekends from now to the end of year that I have open; nothing much until mid November. I should finish the year with 22 camping nights. :cookiemonster:
    :benchpress:

Then, family and I will be off to our next cross country/wheeling trip- Anza Borrego/Ocotillo SVRA/Glamis/SoCal/AZ/NM then home.

That last shot shows the hill Eddie, Adam and Cap? came down later that year on a wheeling trip.
