Today I installed my new TC UCA’s. But my tires are rubbing something god awful. Anyone having the same issue with a similar set up. Still need an alignment however but damn it’s way out of wack it seems. or maybe I might need wheel spacers?

    My setup
2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4
    Fox 2.5 Coil overs
    Fox 2.0 Rear Shocks
    Add a leaf
    275 70R 17 BFG K02
    Fuel Vector rims 17*8.5 +7
    Total Chaos UCA’s

    **Update**

So. talked to the shop that did my shock and tie install and they are telling me Firestone does not know how to do lifted truck alignments. They are recommending me to go back because I bought the lifetime alignment and have them set it to:

    Toe - 0.06 - 0.10 degrees
    Camber - 0.5 - 1.0 degrees
    Caster 2.2 - 2.4 degrees

What are you thoughts? In this forum someone said 4 degrees caster this is a big difference from the information i received here.

Also the Crazy thing is, I went by the Toyota Dealership yesterday that has trucks that have 285 70R17 Toyo Open Country and they seem to work fine. they install Bilstein 5100 's on them as well. Wonder they are not experiencing issues?

I have Fox 2.5 and BFG K02 285 70R 17 so my set up should not have issues either . so confused. :annoyed:

You’ll need a CMC if you’re 3rd gen or not. You may be able to get away with an alignment but if you actually wheel you’ll need a CMC.

I'd guess cab mount. You should be able to see marks from where its rubbing. Mine was really bad when I went to 285's. A good alignment made it better but I still rubbed quite a bit. The CMC stopped the bad rub but I still need to hammer down the pinch weld and reshape/trim the fender liner before my next time offroading.

Are you rubbing on the uca? 5.00 backspace means the wheel is closer to the vehicle. I have 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75 backspace and I rub the uca in full reverse otherwise I have over 4 of caster on each side

Cab mount chop. It's an extension off the frame by the front wheel. Needs to be cut to allow for bigger tires.

    Cab mount chop
Cut back your cab mount/frame located behind your tires and weld on a steel plate. And paint it to avoid rusting. Done by @Mobtown Offroad

A lift doesn't change where it will rub. It means as long as your wheel doesn't go up or down you'll be somewhat ok. But as soon as the wheel goes up, you'll rub. All a lift does is push the wheel down a bit.
