    Hello,
1st time Tacoma owner. Have a 4x4 Off Road dbl cab short bed. Has 16" stockwheels. Met another Taco owner who lives out in the BFE bush and loves their Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 265 70r17. Claims 70k miles on their last pair they had. 200" snow total is normal for the year. They claimed good snow/ice, deep snow drift busting, and mud performance.
What sizes would I have available for my OR taco with 16" wheels? Other tire recommendations? Will not be lifting the truck most likely.

I’m a huge fan of these I put on a few weeks ago. Some of the best tires I’ve had. Great off road AT tire that’s quiet and handles well on the pavement while riding smoother than the stock tires and they are 3-peak snowflake winter rated to boot

Edit: they just came out this summer so no one really in North America has had a chance to test out their winter performance but they re well rated and the tread pattern is random, deep sipes and ridges with teeth meant to grip in snow and ice

Interesting. Will be neat to see how many miles they wear.

Good link. The tread pattern and sipe pattern def look like they will be good in the snow.
Will be following their winter performance in reviews this winter.

Order them siped. They are good in the snow as is, but with sipes, they are awesome. I run them on our fj year round. For the taco I just run dedicated winter tires, but if I didn't, siped duratracs would be my tire of choice. Different strokes though.

Yeah, folks ran the older version AT3s for a lot of miles. No matter how well a tire is rated I rarely see more than 30-40k if I’m doing a lot of mountain driving but with about 8k on them now they still look brand new with no tread loss yet

I'd say 50k miles and there's a decent amount of tread left. Going to put a new set on this fall though, same thing. They get a little noisy when worn half way way or so, but what tire doesn't.

Plenty deep, usually not intentional. Don't run weight in the bed unless my sled is back there, not very often. But weight does help for two wheel peel.
