I read about HECS it is interesting. I just keep my gear in a bin with some sticks, leaves and dirt from the place I hunt, and always check the wind before i choose a stand to hunt. It's worked well for me.

It's crazy to think, in theory, you can basically sit next to a tree with no cover when you were the HECS. For Turkey that would be pretty advantageous.

Pulled the cam the other day to swap batteries. Lots of pigs hitting my feeder at all times of the day or night. Think I'm gonna get a few preseason warmup shots.20180806_163920.jpg 20180806_164142_001.jpg

Wouldn’t it be basically like having a faraday cage around you? They would still see you physically moving and you still would still physically smell, I am not buying it! Like @JJ TACO said! I’m going to stick to what has worked for decades,
    the 3 s’s
    Site
    Sound
    Smell

I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s just a Nother hype product like camouflage face stickers, LOL

How many of you remember the show fridge? In that show there was an episode where a guy was walking around and everybody he looked at had a clock above there head count down how long they had to live, some would go slow and some were screaming towards zero. Ever since that show I swear whenever I’m hunting anything for some dumb reason I picture that clock screaming down to zero right above them. Am I weird? LOL

You are a daredevil. I’m like 15-20’ up. I’m too scared of heights to get that high!

I know it’s all mental. I always wear a harness and an extra careful but I still get nervous. I would rather be higher up, but honestly I do t really have an issue with being winded or spotted so I am just used to my comfortable height.

If you're not comfortable up there, it's no fun. I always envy the guys that don't mind being 25-30ft. I still don't think I would hunt that high, but I won't ever find out.
