I've been to the Houston Coffee and Cars, and it is indeed performance oriented. I certainly enjoy that, but I'd like to see the Houston Tacoma owners coalesce and have a nice big meet with some sort of regularity. Right now all the groups are splintered. Doesn't help that we're hours away from any sort of offroading-type stuff with exception of the beach.

Speaking of which, that could be a good meet location.

FOr you and @CaptAmerica, the change should be drastic. yall had the oldest ecu calibration id's with 04b0000. a couple had 0100, a few more with 0200, and most had 0300. 0400 is definitely the best one Toyota has for the 3rd gen. its kind of how it should have been from the factory years ago

If you have anyone up in your neck of the woods that do inspections and will pass a truck in maybe... less than ideal circumstances... I'll just do it while I'm up there

 

Our Cars and Coffee was originally performance based as well, with a good segment of classics. Then the TW peeps started showing up. And showing up. And showing up. 8, 12, 20, now upwards of 30 or more. Then the Jeeples, Ferds, Chebbies, Doodges, all smaller groups.

My personal feeling is that a few trucks leading the charge would be all that’s needed to grow a truck segment. Houston’s a big truck town, bigger than Austin, and I bet the truck crowd would start thinking of about Cars and Coffee that way as well.

It wasn’t that long ago that Austin’s Tacos and Tacos was 8 trucks in the gravel lot.

 

Not sure on that one yet as I've only been up here a couple months. Might post up in the ATX thread and ask.

 

I think my first C&C with y'all was at most 10 of us. Pretty sure it was the last of the single digit showings.

 

I went to C&C almost every weekend in high school which was 2011-2015. The only 4WD that was there on a consistent basis was the 4WP guy's Jeep with the stretched ass 15.5 wides on 22s. A few old FJs or Jeeps but never anything on a regular basis

Houston could get a C&C squad going no doubt

 

I saw it right away, and again when I ran to the HEEB. It doesn’t live in 4th and pop back and forth through 5th and 6th at 45 mph. Huge change.

 

We need a half pipe stat! Must do this!
